Kavac, an Extraordinary Gorge inside a Tepui

Kavac is a breath-taking deep gorge with a waterfall plunging into it. This fantastic attraction is located in Canaima National Park near an indigenous village called Kavac. This excursion will take us into the interior of a Tepui (table-top mountain) where we’ll find a narrow passage going to the gorge. As you walk deeper into the Tepui, you'll discover new thrills and experience a profound feeling of awe. The adventure becomes more fun when you have to wade through chest-high water to get to the deepest point inside the gorge.

  • -This is considered a must-do in Venezuela.
  • -You’ll have the opportunity to discover the small indigenous village of Kavac.
  • -If you are taking this trip, it must be notified well in advance because it’s necessary to arrange for small aircraft from Ciudad Bolívar or Canaima.
  • -There may be some dead time during the day due to logistical issues in the area.
